Our History

A history spanning more than thirty years in the production of technologically cutting-edge Flexo preprint systems.

G.S. TIMBRO S.r.l. is the product of the fusion of two companies: the commercial company, Graphyc System S.r.l., and the bespoke printers Timbro S.n.C established in 1983 and specialised in photolithography, zincography and stereotypes in vulcanised rubber.

In 1986, a new machine was bought for the production of liquid polymers, which gradually worked alongside and replaced the vulcanised rubber and zincography,
The year 1988 saw the arrival of a system for the production of analogical solid plate polymer run alongside the production of liquid polymer and definitively eliminating vulcanised rubber.

In 1998, the company moved to San Felice sul Panaro, in the province of Modena, and opened its new production plant.

In 2002 a maxi plant was introduced, which consented the production of plates in liquid resin photopolymers.

In 2004 our first large format Laser Creo 132x203 was acquired for developing the digital photopolymer.

In 2007 our machine park expanded with the introduction of a second large format digital laser.

In the spring of 2012 the company was forced to suspend production following the earthquake which struck Emilia Romagna and moved to Bologna in order to continue work.

On December 8th, 2015 we celebrated the opening of our newly built plant in San Felice sul Panaro after the earthquake.

In 2015 Timbro S.n.c. begins a collaboration with the company Laser Pack S.r.l., a company in the Veneto region, which specialises in the sector of flatbed dye-cutting production.

In 2016 a third Laser Kodak is introduced along with Vianord, an automated installation used for exposure, developing, drying and finishing plates.

In 2017 the cutting-edge installation Kodak Flexcel NX was acquired for the production of flat-top dot plates for high definition prints.
